Overview

GiggerKit is a local-first mileage and expense tracker. Your trip data, expenses, and receipts are stored on your device. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not have access to your location history or financial records.

Data Storage

All data — including trips, expenses, receipts, vehicle information, and settings — is stored locally on your iOS device using Core Data. Route polylines are computed on-device and are not persisted to any external server.

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. Rockiestar Inc. does not have access to your iCloud data. Receipt files are stored in iCloud Drive under your account.

Third-Party Services

RevenueCat (Purchase Management)

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat processes your App Store purchase receipt to verify your subscription status. No personally identifiable information beyond the anonymous app user ID and purchase receipt is shared with RevenueCat.

Sentry (Error Tracking)

We use Sentry to collect crash reports and error diagnostics. Our Sentry integration is configured with privacy-safe defaults: location coordinates, merchant names, receipt filenames, and user notes are explicitly excluded from error context. Only technical diagnostic information (device model, OS version, stack traces) is transmitted.

PostHog (Web Analytics)

Our website (giggerkit.com) uses PostHog for anonymous page-view analytics. PostHog does not track individual users across sessions or websites. No analytics SDK is included in the iOS app.

Firebase (Crash Analytics)

The iOS app may include Firebase Crashlytics for additional crash reporting. Firebase collects anonymous crash data including device model, OS version, and stack traces. No user-identifiable data is attached to crash reports.

Location Data

GiggerKit requests location access to provide automatic mileage tracking. Location data is processed entirely on your device to compute trip distances. We do not transmit, store, or have access to your location data on any server. If you enable iCloud sync, trip summaries (start/end addresses, distance) sync to your iCloud account — route polyline coordinates are not included.

Motion Data

GiggerKit uses the Core Motion framework to detect automotive activity for automatic trip start/stop. Motion data is processed on-device and is not transmitted to any server.

Data You Can Export

You can export your data at any time as CSV files (mileage log, expense log, receipt inventory, tax summary) or as a PDF tax summary. Your data is always readable and exportable, even if your subscription expires.

Children's Privacy

GiggerKit is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
